Hear Indiana is now offering specialized services for adults with hearing loss who want to strengthen their listening, speech understanding, and everyday communication through audiology and speech and language services. Whether you are newly navigating hearing loss, looking for hearing technology, or looking to build stronger communication skills, our team provides personalized support to help you communicate with greater confidence.
As a non-profit, Hear Indiana’s only priority is you. We have no financial incentive to sell you a device you don’t need — our recommendations are based entirely on your hearing profile, lifestyle, and goals. That means you can trust that every suggestion we make, from a diagnostic approach to a specific hearing aid, is driven by what will genuinely help you most.
Our clinicians specialize in hearing loss and bring together audiology and speech-language pathology under one roof. This integrated approach means we treat the full picture of your communication — not just your ears. Whether you’re struggling in noisy environments, having difficulty on the phone, or feeling fatigued from the daily effort of listening, we have the expertise to help.
Choosing Hear Indiana also means becoming part of a mission. Every patient we serve supports our pediatric work to improve access to hearing care for all Hoosiers.
Audiological Evaluation A comprehensive hearing evaluation to assess your hearing across a range of pitches and environments. Results are used to develop a personalized care plan and, where appropriate, recommend hearing technology.
Hearing Aid Consultation & Fitting We guide you through the entire hearing aid process — from understanding your options to wearing your devices with confidence. See below for how our fitting process works.
Speech-Language Services for Adults For adults experiencing difficulty with speech clarity, auditory processing, or communication following changes in hearing, our speech-language pathologists provide targeted therapy to rebuild and strengthen everyday communication skills.
Communication Strategy Coaching Practical, real-world strategies to help you navigate challenging listening environments — whether that’s a crowded restaurant, a work meeting, or a family gathering.
Getting hearing aids at Hear Indiana is a collaborative, pressure-free process with three clear steps:
1. Communication Needs Assessment We begin with a thorough audiological assessment to understand your hearing loss in detail — its type, degree, and how it affects your daily life. We also take time to learn about your lifestyle, your communication priorities, and any past experiences with hearing technology.
2. In-Office Demo Before any commitment, you’ll have the opportunity to trial hearing aids in our clinic. We’ll program devices to match your hearing profile and walk you through how they feel and sound. This is your chance to ask questions, compare options, and experience the difference firsthand — with zero pressure.
3. Custom Fitting Once you’ve chosen the right device, we program and fine-tune it specifically for your ears and your hearing loss. We verify the fit using best-practice measures to ensure you’re getting the most benefit possible. We’ll also walk you through care, maintenance, and what to expect as you adjust to wearing your new devices.
Follow-up appointments are part of the process. Hearing aids take time to get used to, and we’re here to make adjustments as your needs evolve.
