Camp Fees & Financial Aid

Thanks to our generous donors and grantors, campers' families are asked to pay for a small portion of the total Camper Fee. In past years, 100% of our campers received support from Hear Indiana, and as much as half have received full scholarships or fee waivers.

Hear Indiana subsidizes over half of each Hoosier child's fee. In addition, a sliding fee scale based on household income is available. All applications require a $50 non-refundable deposit. The $50 deposit does count toward the Camper Fees listed below. (Special arrangement can be made to spread the deposit out. Special circumstances may result in a deposit waiver.)

Out-of-state campers will be charged $850.

Please note that the percentages on the scale refer to the amount you will pay (maximum fee $500 for instate campers) NOT the amount off. For example, if you fall at 20% you will owe 20% of $500 equaling $100. If you have further questions plase contact us at hearcamp@hearindiana.org or at (317) 828-0211.

To request a reduced fee based on our sliding scale, you must send proof of taxable household income (such as a copy of your most recent federal tax form). In the case of joint custody, all adults who are financially responsible for the camper must submit proof of household income.  Information will be held confidential. Please review the table below to see if you qualify for a reduced Camper Fee. If you have special circumstances and are unable to pay the fee below, please call 317-828-0211 or email hearcamp@hearindiana.org to discuss options.

 

Note:  The Talk Walk Run (5K/10K) fee waiver is no longer available. Please contact Naomi with concerns/questions at naomi.horton@hearindiana.org. 

You may spread Camper Fees into multiple payments, as long as the total camp fee is paid by May 18, 2018. Your child will be ineligible for future camps until any outstanding balance is paid in full. You may cancel yourapplication until May 18, 2018 (though $50 deposit is non-refundable). Cancellations after May 18th, will only be accepted if a physician signs a letter saying your camper is not well enough to attend camp. No-shows will be held responsible for the Camper Fee.
