In the racing world, everyone knows the name Scheckter. Jaki's uncle, Jody Schecker, is the 1979 Formula One World Champion. Jaki's cousin, Tomas Scheckter, raced for KV-SH Racing in the 2011 Indianapolis 500. Jaki started racing in motor cross and then switched to Formula Fords, winning the championship in his second year on the circuit, and in 1995 Jaki won the Barber Dodge Pro Series Championship. Last year, Jaki came out of retirement and surprised everyone when
he won the Invitational! It seems he just isn't content being a retired race car driver after all.

What you may not know, is that Jaki was born hard of hearing during the rubella epidemic in 1974. He wore hearing aids until 2005 when he received bilateral implants at Riley Hospital. His life hasn't been the same since!
